Don't Contract It. AIDS, the new bug. An incurable virus. Get educated! This poster is a project of the Community Arts Program (CAP), from the California Institute of the arts (Cal Arts), in partnership with the Armory Center for the Arts, the AIDS Service Center, and the Pasadena Unified School District, Participating high school students are Brett Bernhard, Cody Burleson, Terri Furaya, Kalila Holland, Jessica Huston, and Beau Adams-Wright. Created in conjunction with the Mark Niblock-Smith Exhibition on view at the Armory Center for the Arts Main Gallery between April 23rd and June 11th, 1995. The Armory Center for the Arts is located at 145 North Raymond Avenue in Pasadena, (818) 792-5101. Project instructors include: Katherine Ng, Armory’s Director of the Letterpress Studio; Shawn Mckinney, CalArts Faculty; CalArts Teaching Assistants Shelby Tiffany and Andrea Claire; and guest artists Cheri Gaulke and Aleida Rodriguez. Letterpress printed, Fall 1994 and Spring 1995, in a limited edition of 300 per poster. This poster was printed at the Armory Center for the Arts Letterpress Studio, a collaborative program with the Woman’s Building, under the sponsorship of GTE Directories.
