Full Text:
Stop SB-1! The Criminal Code Reform Act of 1973, otherwise known as SB-1, is probably the most repressive legislation to be put before Congress since the McCarthy era of the 1950's. Disguised as simply a long-overdue reform of federal criminal laws, it calls for re-instatement of the death penalty, abolishment of the insanity defense, unduly harsh sentencing and suppression of those forms of social action that have, until now, been covered by the Bill of Rights. And it's slipping through Congress under your nose.
