Full Text:
I felt joy when she entered the room. It was another cool summer night in South Central L.A. 1965. Mother always came in to say good night. Her comforting words seemed to warm the room. Some nights she would carry off one niece to sleep with her. As she pulled the small brown string to turn off the light, my brother began to snore. And for me, my favor tie dream land. © 1986 Nelvatha Dunbar [in pencil] Nelvatha 117275-500 - Family #2 Goodnight - First of Series - This poster is part of the Cross Pollination Commissions Project sponsored by the Woman's Building.
